Kambio Corporation offers the finest Woven & Unidirectional aramid fabrics in the market. These aramid fabrics are manufactured with Twaron® & Kevlar® fibers. We offer a wide variety of unidirectional non woven fabrics as well as a variety of styles and weaves for woven aramid fibers, each designed for a specific purpose. One of our manufacturing partners can produce more than 32,000m2 of fabric per day, all under strict manufacturing standards including iso 9001:2000.

Applications (as ballistic resistant protective materials): in the armoring of vehicles as loose fabric for the protection against fragments, in the armoring of vehicles as pressed panels to armor opaque areas and in the construction of bullet resistant vests.

Kambio Corporation offers laminated aramid panels pressed at high pressure presses with 4,000 ton capacity. Our aramid panels are highly flexible and stable, capable of defiting proyectiles up to level IIIA of the NIJ standard.

These panels are used in the armoring of the opaque sections of a vehicle, architectural armoring or any other desired application. Our panels are manufactured in diverse thicknesses to adapt to the level of ballistic protection needed.

POLYETHYLENE FABRICS

Kambio Corporation Polyethylene fabrics are made from uhmw-pe fibers that offer maximum strength combined with minimum weight. They are up to 15 times stronger than quality steel and up to 40% stronger than aramid fibers, both on weight for weight basis.

These fibers are extremely durable and resistant to moisture, uv light and chemicals.  Our fabrics are made from dyneema® and spectra ® yarns by laying them parallel, in the same plane, rather than being woven together. They can be used to manufacture balistic panels or combined layers to manufacture armored vests.

POLYETHYLENE PANELS  

Kambio Corporation panels are made by thermally pressing layers of fabric up to the required thickness based on the desired level of protection. Our panels are made of several layers of fibers, alternating the direction of fibers in each layer at 90° to the direction of the fibers in the adjacent layers, allowing the energy transferred from the impact of a bullet or other threat to be distributed along the fibers much faster and more efficiently than in conventional woven fabrics. The advantage of polyethylene is that they provide protection levels up to NIJ III (7.62 x 51 steel core) and NIJ III+.

Kambio Corporation also provides its customers with bullet resistant ceramics, which are excellent for armoring solutions with a need of superior protection against high velocity and high penetration projectiles. These ceramic are frequently used to armor vehicles and to complement armor vests for protection against projectiles ranking higher than level NIJ IIIA. these ceramics are combined with other materials to increase protection levels and to prevent from harmful fragments.

NYLON 1050 DENIER

Kambio Corporation Nylon 1050 denier is utilized to protect against fragments created from an explosion. It can be stitched together to protect as well as to wrap combinations of ceramics with the desired material to stop flying fragments.

FIBERGLASS PANELS

Solid panels of fiber glass can be utilized in the opaque areas of money exchange centers, banks, police centers etc. wherever weight does not matter. These bullet resistant fiberglass panels can be combined with fibers to increase the levels of resistance.  Fiberglass panels are heavier that panel of aramid or polyethylene fibers but they are lighter than steel.

RUN FLATS

Run Flats are fiber hoops that can be installed on the vehicle’s rim to maintain the shape of the tire. These hoops allow the driver to maintain the vehicle’s control in the event that a gunshot or other artifact damages the tire, and it allows the driver to drive up to a safe area, to change the tire.

STEEL PLATES

All steel sold by Kambio Corporation comes with its certificate by lot number. Our steel has a set strength depending on the use. We offer steel from 2mm to 12.7mm thick and the most common plate sizes are 96” x 48”
